Leslie is a resident of Etowah with a dedicated interest in local history research and heritage.  One day she walked into the Etowah Valley Hardware store (closed in 2015) and was inspired by a collection of historical photos on the corner wall . . . images that begin to tell the story of Etowah.  Leslie is a student of history and member of the Henderson County Genealogical & Historical Society.  Her paternal 'Banks' family roots are in coastal North Carolina, the Pamlico Sound on the Neuse River.  Leslie and John Martino moved to Etowah in 2010 after 50 years in Florida.

With respect, every effort is made to present information in a factual, balanced, and fair manner.
